"A true Swiss army knife—every tool sharp, technical and commercial in equal measure"

I had the privilege of starting a new role where I worked closely with Bryan Stephens on a critical phase of a business CRM integration. Notably, this wasn’t even within Bryan’s official scope—he was pulled in because of his broad expertise and proven ability to get things done. If this project were a sport, Bryan would have played every position. When technical blockers arose, he worked with development teams to get us unstuck. When requirements were unclear, he distilled the essence of what business leaders truly needed. His only “allegiance” was to creating value, and he did so by any means necessary. That kind of skillset and mindset is such a key to success. Bryan’s deep understanding of core commercial processes allowed him to challenge assumptions and push for the outcomes we needed. At the same time, he used his strong relationships with commercial leaders to create alignment and pave the way forward. One example stands out: during one of the most complex integration points, when sales processes from two large organizations didn’t align, Bryan mapped the technical workflows directly to the commercial outcomes we required. He bridged the gap between systems, secured agreement from cross-functional leaders, and delivered a unified approach. That solution is still in place four years later, continuing to serve us well. Bryan is a true Swiss army knife—every tool sharp, technical and commercial in equal measure. That’s rare. I’d highly recommend him as a Fractional CTO who can deliver immediate value and long-term impact.
